Team Cabela’s Finishes Strong at the 2017 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s

Cabela’s has long been a supporter of college fishing.  This year, the company increased its commitment to collegiate anglers with a discount purchase program as well as an angler contingency program at the 2017 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Cabela’s.

The Cabela’s Angler Contingency Program was created for teams and anglers to qualify for additional prizes if they finish in the top 20 at the 2017 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship.

“The Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship is an outstanding event that Cabela’s is proud to be involved with,” said Lara Herboldsheimer, brand partnership program manager for Cabela’s. “It provides great opportunities for young anglers to enjoy the sport they love in a fun and competitive environment.”

Participation in the program was up for grabs for the entire field competing in the championship, and limited to the first 30 teams (60 anglers) to complete the registration process. Participates were accepted on a first come, first served basis. It didn’t take long to fill the 30 available spots.

“This program is another in a long line of programs to support collegiate fishing.  The overall contingency program was well received by the anglers as they worked to become a part of Team Cabela’s both at this event and others into the future.  Who knows we may even find the next Cabela’s Ambassador out of this type of a program in the future!  said Wade Middleton, Director of the ACA and President of CarecoTV
