Rapala Renews Partnership with the Association of Collegiate Anglers for 2021 Season

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 20, 2021) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers, in partnership with Rapala, is excited to announce continued sponsorship of the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series for the 2021 season.  Rapala prides itself on the unwavering support of the younger generation of anglers and helping to provide them with a platform to compete for years to come.  As a part of this partnership, the following brands: Rapala, VMC, and Sufix, are all affiliated with the elite college trail and the weekly podcast.

“ACA has done an excellent job promoting our brands within all of their platforms as well as connecting our brands to the young competing anglers of today.  They have made it easy on Rapala to continue our partnership as our focus for 2021 is to continue to help support college anglers around the country.   ACA is so supportive bringing new ideas and being flexible during the year when opportunities arise.” – Matt Jensen, Director of Marketing for Rapala USA.

In 2021, Rapala will continue the promotion and support of its discount program tailored to collegiate anglers.  Teams competing in ACA ran events will be eligible for key discounts off products from brands associated with Rapala, VMC, and Suffix.  Throughout the year, Rapala and the ACA will work together to provide anglers with other incentives and opportunities including special discounts and social media campaigns.  For eligibility and discount information, email goyouth@rapalausa.com.  Various products will also be included in giveaways, and prize packages throughout the upcoming season.

“We are excited to be entering the second year of our partnership with Rapala,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the ACA and President of CarecoTV.  “Rapala puts a lot of time and energy into working to grow the sport at the youth level and it’s fun to follow along with the Podcast that they use to help support college fishing.  2021 promises more of the same as the ACA continues to work with them to promote discount programs and introduce new products.”

As part of this ongoing partnership, Rapala will continue to be the title sponsor of the Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast.  Approaching the 100 episode milestone, this podcast is the premier audio program for college fishing that highlights the School of the Year race, talks with industry professionals, and provides the latest college fishing news.  The #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast publishes new episodes every Thursday.  To listen to past episodes from the complete 2020 season, click here.

“Pro’s make it to the top for a reason.  We don’t know who they will be, it’s not easy, and it takes a lot of talent and hard work.  The Rapala #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast is another way ACA connects the young anglers to the Pro’s of today to help continue to promote the knowledge and advice that is out there,” added Jensen.  “And on top of that, it is an exciting way to see ACA provide highlights, standings, and interviews of current college anglers around the country.”
