ACA Announces Continued Strategic Relationship with Garmin for the 2021 Season

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 18, 2021) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce a continued strategic relationship with Garmin®, the premier marine electronics manufacturer in the industry.  Known for revolutionary products like Panoptix LiveScope™, Garmin has been a proud supporter of collegiate bass fishing since its inception 15 plus years ago.  Garmin’s support of the ACA will include continued support via the college angler discount program, Garmin Tournament Rewards, and much more.

“We are excited to continue to work with the Association of Collegiate Anglers in support of the great work they’re doing for college anglers and fishing clubs around the country,” said David Dunn, Garmin director of marine sales. “We are deeply committed to the freshwater fishing industry and the ACA is a great place for us to showcase our award-winning products and technologies to the future of our sport.”

“Garmin has long been one of the main pillars supporting the sport of collegiate bass fishing,” explained Wade Middleton, Director of the ACA and President of CarecoTV.  “It has truly been amazing to watch the continued growth of Garmin products and how many college anglers now have them on their boats.   This is not only a testament to the quality of Garmin products but also the programs Garmin has put in place to support this next generation of anglers.”

Garmin supports collegiate anglers through a wide array of programs and initiatives.  One of those is the premier discount program they offer to all college anglers.  This program allows anglers to purchase products at a discounted rate, thus upgrading their gear and making them better anglers.  To find out more about the discount opportunities and apply to receive a code, click here.

New for the 2020 season last year, Garmin introduced Garmin Tournament Rewards.  This is a world-class level tournament contingency program that rewards anglers for running Garmin electronics.  To be eligible for the $500 cash prize, an angler must be the highest placing Garmin user at a qualifying Garmin-sanctioned event.  The boat must be equipped with one or more Garmin fixed-mounted marine electronics or trolling motor.  Garmin Tournament Rewards will be honored at all 2021 ACA ran events.
