First ACA Event of the Season Awards 10 Automatic Qualification Spots to the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 27, 2023) – This past weekend, close to 600 of college fishing’s top anglers competed in the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley.  The Association of Collegiate Anglers’ first no-entry-fee, nationally televised, double points event of the season took place at Kentucky Lake in Henry County and Paris, TN.  Along with the $40,000 in prizes and contingencies that were awarded, anglers had the opportunity to earn automatic qualification into the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  Each of the Top 10 anglers in the final event standings from Kentucky Lake earned automatic qualification into the 19th edition of college fishing’s longest-running National Championship event.

Here is a look at the official Top 10 in the final standings for the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley:

1 – Harlan Thomas – Murray State University

2 – Hunter Odom – University of Montevallo

3 – Braiden Koerber – Murray State University

4 – Jacob Deel – Carson-Newman University

5  – Dylan Nutt – University of North Alabama

T-6 – Harlan Thomas – Murray State University

T-6 – Dylan May – Carson-Newman University

8 – Dalton Defelice – Southwestern Michigan College

9 – Tomas Matual – McKendree University

10 – Dylan May – Carson-Newman University

As a Top 10 finisher at the 2023 Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley, anglers automatically qualify to compete in the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops. These qualified anglers may choose another angler from their bass fishing team to compete with at the ACA’s 2024 National Championship. 

The 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops will be contested at Pickwick Lake in Florence, AL on May 23-24, 2024.  To view the complete Championship Qualification Criteria, click here.
