The Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Unveils 2017 Season Schedule

The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce the 2017 schedule for the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. This will be the 12th season for the Cabela’s Collegiate Fishing series and in the 2017 season, there will be four major televised events, as well as numerous smaller school sanctioned events.  The four major events include the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash Presented by Berkley, the Collegiate Bass Fishing Open Presented by Cabela’s, the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s, and the new Big Fish Challenge.

All four of the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series events will be aired on national television and will be counted as double point’s events towards the prestigious Cabela’s School of the Year race. The dates for the 2017 season are listed below:

· Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash Presented by Berkley – March 10-12, 2017 – Kentucky Lake – Paris, Tennessee

· Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Open – March 24-26, 2017 – Lake Dardanelle – Russellville, Arkansas

· The Texas Big Fish Challenge – April 30, 2017 – Lake Texoma – Denison, Texas

· BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s – May 22-26, 2017 – Pickwick Lake – Florence, Alabama

“We always want to get more anglers on the water – that’s been our goal since our first college fishing event on Lake Lewisville, and we will be looking to add even more events in the near future,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the ACA and President of CarecoTV.
