ACA Announces Continued Strategic Relationship with Garmin for the 2024 Season

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 27, 2024) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce a continued strategic relationship with Garmin®, the premier marine electronics manufacturer in the industry.  Known for revolutionary products like LiveScope™ live-scanning sonar and the Force® Trolling Motor, Garmin has been a proud supporter of collegiate bass fishing since its inception.

Garmin’s support of the ACA and its events will include continued support via the college angler discount program, Garmin Tournament Rewards, and support at events to include the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.

“2024 will mark the 19th season in which Garmin has been a supporter of the ACA and Collegiate Bass Fishing Series,” explained Wade Middleton, Director of the ACA and President of CarecoTV.  “From LiveScope to the Force Trolling Motor, Garmin makes so many great tools that help to benefit these college anglers out on the water and allow them to compete at the highest levels in the sport and they’ve shown they want the latest Garmin technology on their boats.”

“As college fishing continues to surge in popularity, it’s an honor to work with the Association of Collegiate Anglers in support of the great work they’re doing for college anglers and fishing clubs around the country,” said Dave Dunn, Garmin senior director of marine and RV sales. “These anglers are the future of our sport and we are proud to support the platform in which they compete.”

Garmin supports the ACA and collegiate anglers in a multitude of different ways.  One of those examples is the premier discount program that Garmin offers to all college anglers.  This program allows anglers to purchase products at a discounted rate, thus upgrading their gear and making them better anglers.  To find out more about the discount opportunities and apply to receive a code, click here.

Along with the discount program, Garmin offers its Garmin Tournament Rewards program at all ACA events.  This is a world-class level tournament contingency program that rewards anglers for running Garmin exclusive electronics and the Garmin Force Trolling Motor.  To be eligible for the $300 and $200 cash prize, an angler must be the highest placing Garmin user at a qualifying Garmin-sanctioned event. The cash prize is broken into a $300 cash prize for exclusive Garmin electronics and a $200 cash prize for the top placing user with a Garmin Force® Trolling Motor. The boat must be equipped with one or more Garmin fixed-mounted marine electronics or trolling motor.  Garmin Tournament Rewards will be honored at all 2024 ACA sanctioned events. About the Association of Collegiate Anglers

The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) is a division of CarecoTV that was created to facilitate growth, development, and structure within competitive collegiate bass fishing, with emphasis on competitive fishing events nationwide. The ACA created the original BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Series 19 seasons ago. That single event has evolved into the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, which is now recognized as the longest-running consecutive collegiate bass fishing series in existence.

The ACA lineup of major college fishing events includes a variety of tournaments nationwide that are multi-day tournaments, all of which are televised on several networks, as well as streamed on a variety of connected platforms.  The ACA also provides support to numerous schools operating regional events nationwide which is an effort to provide more opportunities to grow the exposure and awareness of college fishing.

The ACA owns the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, Bass Pro Shops School of Year presented by Abu Garcia program, and associated assets which is widely regarded as the most comprehensive and prestigious collegiate bass fishing title today.

Thanks in part to the large diversity of media exposure the ACA provides, the series boasts the largest amount of televised and streaming coverage of any collegiate fishing series. This includes a dedicated television series on numerous television networks and streaming platforms, as well as additional coverage of select events inside other programs.

This combination includes coverage from Discovery Channel, CBS Sports, Bally Sports, Pursuit Channel, as well as other regional and national networks. You can also find coverage online at any time of past events thanks to coverage on OutdoorActionTV.com and PursuitUp.com
