Sunday, April 23 – 12:10 PM

The team from Central Alabama Community College entered today in 3rd place.  They are catching several of the right ones here on the final day.  Their limit weighs a reported 14+ pounds.

Sunday, April 23 – 11:05 AM

The 2nd place pairing from Blue Mountain Christian has a limit for 13 pounds.

Reports have started to slow a little bit.  It was about this time yesterday when the bite seemed to slow down.  With a shorter day of fishing today, to get the anglers on the road earlier to return to school, some anglers only have just over two hours of fishing remaining.

Sunday, April 23 – 10:25 AM

It’s an AFTCO cold weather gear type of morning out there today!  But so far, the fishing is hot for those that are catching them.

That six pound bass caught by Charlie and Logan from Montevallo culled out a one and a half pound keeper.

Sunday, April 23 – 10:00 AM

Charlie and Logan, the Day 1 leaders from top ranked University of Montevallo, are culling and made a nice upgrade with this six plus pound bass!

Sunday, April 23 – 9:30 AM

It’s a cool, cloudy morning across the Florence, AL area for Day 2 of tournament competition at the Pickwick Slam presented by Evolution Fishing. Two of the Top 3 teams from Day 1 are finding success here early on.  Forecasts project similar weather conditions for the remainder of the day.  Temperatures may warm ever so slightly, but it will remain cool and cloudy through tournament hours.

Sunday, April 23 – 9:20 AM

The 3rd place pairing of Kelly & Pritchard landed a very nice sized smallmouth bass!

Sunday, April 23 – 9:00 AM

The Blue Mountain Christian duo of Rudy & Fisher have a limit for just over 11 pounds.

Sunday, April 23 – 8:25 AM

Rudy and Fisher now have three in the box for just over seven pounds.

Sunday, April 23 – 8:15 AM

Rudy and Fisher have one in the box, and it appears to be a quality fish!

You can tell from the pictures, as the anglers are all bundled up, it’s significantly cooler to start the day this morning.  Temperatures are in the mid-40’s to begin the day.  Today’s forecasted high is projected to not get over the 60 degree mark.  It will be interesting to see what impact this cooler weather will have, if any, on the current fishing conditions.

Sunday, April 23 – 8:10 AM

Jackson Kelly & Brayden Pritchard from Central Alabama Community College entered today in 3rd.  Looks like they are off to a good start this morning!

Sunday, April 23 – 8:05 AM
