San Antonio, TX (March 24, 2022) – The Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series and, the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) is excited to announce that its long standing relationship with Power-Pole will continue for the 17th year in supporting collegiate anglers.
“We at Power-Pole understand that not all sports at the college level receive the same level of financial support as a Division-I football program. That is why we are proud to financially support the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series,” said Curt Hill, Advertising Manager for Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchors, which is based in Tampa, Florida.
“These anglers represent the next generation of fishing and Power Pole has been a partner in supporting collegiate fishing since it started. They come to many of the events, provide prizes and interact with many of the anglers directly. They also offer an awesome rebate program for the anglers to help them being able to use the full lineup of innovative equipment that they will utilize as they continue their competitive fishing careers in the future while reducing the financial obligation for their respective clubs,” said Wade Middleton, President of CarecoTV and Director of Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.
Power-Pole products ranging from shallow water anchors to the Power-Pole Charge are crucial tools for anglers competing in bass fishing tournaments. Whether it be for boat control purposes or to recharge batteries to help you get back to weigh-in on time, Power-Pole products are a key part of each angler’s gameplan.
“These Power-Poles, they’re a necessity on boats,” said Joseph Bruener, McKendree University angler. “You use them so much, especially fishing shallow.”
Power-Pole will again be supporting anglers at ACA events throughout the season, including at the National Championship. Power-Pole anchors will be included in prize payouts at ACA major events, as well as to reward Big Bass honors at various events. Representatives from Power-Pole will also be on-site at events, and throughout the 2022 Championship Week, to meet anglers, show off their products, and answer questions.
Along with the tournament sponsorship and rebate programs for collegiate anglers, all ACA events will also qualify for the Power-Pole Captains Cash Reward Club. Captains Cash members with registered Power-Pole products who finish first place overall in a sanctioned tournament will receive up to $1,000 in cash in addition to the individual event purse provided by the event’s organizer.

About the Association of Collegiate Anglers
The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA), a division of CarecoTV, is a tournament organization created to facilitate growth, development, and structure within competitive collegiate bass fishing. The ACA created the original BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Series,17 seasons ago, which has evolved into the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series which is now recognized as the longest-running consecutive collegiate bass fishing series in existence. The ACA also provides support to dozens of smaller schools operating regional events nationwide which help to grow the exposure of college fishing. The ACA owns the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia Program, and associated assets. The ACA lineup of major college fishing events includes a variety of events nationwide that are multi-day events all of which are televised on several networks as well as streamed on a variety of connected platforms.
Thanks in part to the large diversity of media exposure the ACA provides the largest amount of televised and streaming coverage of any collegiate fishing series to include a dedicated television series on several television networks as well as additional coverage of select events inside other programs. This combination includes coverage from Discovery Channel, CBS Sports, NBC, Pursuit Channel, as well as other regional and national networks.
