Peyton Harris & Dalton Head from Top Ranked Montevallo Win the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops

Bryce & Tripp from UNA take 2nd, and Brody & Peyton with Montevallo finish in 3rd

ANDERSON, SC (May 23, 2025) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers’ historic 20th National Championship is complete, as competition has concluded and a winner crowned at the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  The full field of 200 anglers competed again on Lake Hartwell for Day 2, with weigh-in taking place at Green Pond Landing in Anderson, SC.

Peyton Harris & Dalton Head from number one ranked University of Montevallo claim the National Championship title with a two-day total weight of 37.14 pounds.  Tripp Berlinsky & Bryce DiMauro from 2nd ranked University of North Alabama finish in 2nd, and Brody Robison & Peyton Sorrow with Montevallo finish in 3rd.

The Montevallo pairing of Harris & Head entered the final day of tournament competition at Lake Hartwell in 6th, just over two pounds behind 1st place.  On Day 2 of tournament competition for the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops, Harris & Head weighed in the largest limit of bass for the entire event.  The two brought in a five bass limit for 21.29 pounds.  That impressive weight helped them to best 2nd place by more than four pounds.  For the victory, the two anglers receive $5,000.  They also earned T-H Marine Atlas Awards ($500), and the ACA logo contingency ($1,000).  All total, the winners received $6,500 in prizes and contingencies.

Finishing in 2nd place are Bryce DiMauro & Tripp Berlinsky.  Representing 2nd ranked University of North Alabama, the two anglers weighed in a two-day total weight of 32.92 pounds.  Berlinsky & DiMauro earned $2,500 for the 2nd place finish.

Rounding out the Top 3 are Brody Robison & Peyton Sorrow from Montevallo.  After entering the day in 26th, the pair climbed 23 places to end the event in 3rd.  On Day 1, they weighed in 13.34 pounds.  Robison & Sorrow rounded out the event by weighing 17.64 pounds on Day 2.  The 3rd place finish awarded them $1,500.

The University of Montevallo earned the most points of any team to compete at the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  Montevallo’s Top 3 highest-placing teams finished in 1st, 3rd, and 9th.  The three Top 10 finishes earned Montevallo 7,300 points.  Those valuable triple points take Montevallo’s season total to 40,575.  The victory in 2025 marks Montevallo’s historic 5th straight title as Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  The complete points update will be released next week.
