The AFTCO Bass Bus Live Release Boat  is currently docked here at the State Park.  All fish brought to weigh-in today will be taken to this boat and released back out into Lake Dardanelle.

Saturday, October 26 1:20 PM

Big bass for the day so far, from the reports we’ve received, goes to Taylor Owens of Blue Mountain College.  She is fishing with fellow teammate Isaac Duncan.  They have a total of four keepers thus far.

Saturday, October 26 12:30 PM

Blake Stringer and Caleb Stephenson from Campbellsville University are struggling to find keeper bites.  They report having caught a lot of short fish this morning.

Mason Waddell and Cal Culpepper from the University of Montevallo have two fish in the box.

Saturday, October 26 11:55 AM

A strong wind is blowing across Lake Dardanelle as we near the noon hour.  I would estimate that it’s gusting consistently around 15-20 mph.  Teams are having to fight the wind as they fish down the bank today.

The Adrian College team we found is the pairing of Matthew Davis and Cody Batterson.  They currently have two fish in the livewell.

Saturday, October 26 10:20 AM

Our crew has caught up with a team from first place Adrian College.  We are working on getting an update from them.

The McKendree team we have been following this morning, Tyler and Trey, now has three fish in the box.

Saturday, October 26 9:15 AM

Tyler and Trey from McKendree University have boated fish number two.  That looks to be like a solid keeper.  Estimates have this fish weighing around 4-5 pounds.

Quality rain gear is key on days like today.  John David Nowlin from Blue Mountain College is sporting his AFTCO rainwear today out on Lake Dardanelle.

Saturday, October 26 8:55 AM

A light, steady mist is falling here at the state park.  Here is a look at the weather forecast for the remainder of the day.  There is a decent chance that a light rain falls for the remainder of the day.

Saturday, October 26 8:25 AM

The McKendree University team of Tyler Christy and Trey Schroeder have one small keeper.  McKendree enters this event in second place for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.

Saturday, October 26 8:10 AM

The teams our crew is covering are starting to arrive at their first spots of the morning.  Pictured here are Rudy Worley and John David Nowlin.  These two won the 2018 edition of this event.

Saturday, October 26 7:40 AM

And they’re off!  The full field of nearly 350 anglers is making its way out onto Lake Dardanelle.  Stay tuned for the fish catches to start rolling in!

Saturday, October 26 6:25 AM

Good morning from Lake Dardanelle State Park!  The anglers are launching their boats as we speak.  Today’s forecast calls for a strong chance of rain for most of the day. However, right now it is not raining at the launch site.  We will provide more pictures and updates as take-off begins.
