Final Three Anglers Named to ACA’s Collegiate All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha at Lake Hartwell
SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 28, 2025) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its historic 20th National Championship tournament. On Wednesday night of Championship Week, at the ACA’s annual Angler & Sponsor Banquet, three more anglers were named to the ACA’s collegiate All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha:
Alex Geroulis – Indiana University
Garrett Simon – Marshall University
Cody Domingos – University of Tennessee
This was the final event of the 2024-25 season, meaning this was also the last opportunity for anglers to be named to the All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha during this campaign. A total of 12 anglers were nominated to the inaugural All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha this season.
Garrett Simon
Marshall University
Year: Senior
Degree: Business Marketing
The first person we’ll recognize in this article is Garrett Simon. The Marshall University senior is a Business Marketing major who has achieved academic success all throughout his college career. In addition to his hard work and dedication in the classroom, Garrett is said to be a great teammate. He is known for his unwavering support and kindness towards others, always willing to help his peers both in and out of the classroom. Whether on the water or in academic settings, Garrett’s strong work ethic, dedication to his team, and desire to push himself and his teammates forward are the qualities that were said to make him a deserving nominee for the All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha.
Cody Domingos
University of Tennessee
Year: Junior
Degree: Marketing
Another nominee to the All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha is Cody Domingos from the University of Tennessee. Having recently completed his junior year in Knoxville, Cody is majoring in Marketing. In the spring of 2024, he was acknowledged on the Dean’s List and Summa Cum Laude. As part of the UT bass fishing team, Cody has served as the Social Media Chair and is currently the club President. Cody is said to be humble in his achievements, inspiring to others and a natural leader in and out of the classroom.

Degree: Finance
The final angler to be honored in this article is Alex Geroulis, a Finance major who just wrapped up his junior year at Indiana University. Alex is said to demonstrate excellent work ethic in the classroom. His ability to manage his time between school and fishing all allows him to achieve the grades he wants and the success he wants on the water.
