Louisiana State University at Shreveport Pockets Extra Cash Through ACA Contingency

By Cody Levy

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Louisiana Shreveport team of JP Kimbrough and Devine DeRamus finished second in the 2016 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s; however, the team was able to earn an additional cash prize through the Association of Collegiate Anglers Contingency.

Designed to reward anglers for wearing the Association of Collegiate Anglers logo, the LSUS team picked up $250 in Cabela’s Gift Cards simply for wearing the ACA logo on their jersey, and that is what most would call easy money! The incentive was offered through the Discounts and Incentives page, found on www.CollegiateBassChampionship.com along with a plethora of other incentive programs, totaling over $7,000.

“All of these contingency programs are really easy ways to get extra money for tournament guys,” said Kimbrough. “It’s really easy to sign up for them, but so many people think it’s not going to be worth it. I think that it’s almost dumb not to sign up for them, because even though some may cost a small fee to get into, it will be so worth it when you actually win it.”

For next year’s jersey, be sure to add all of the Association of Collegiate Anglers Contingency Programs on you Gemini jersey. Don’t miss out during the 2017 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, sign up for all of the contingency programs today!
