Big Bite Baits Continues Support of the Association of Collegiate Anglers for 2023

San Antonio, TX (January 23, 2023) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce that Big Bite Baits will continue its long-time support of collegiate anglers and the Collegiate Bass Fishing Series for the 2023 season. This extended partnership will include the continuation of Big Bite Baits’ collegiate discount program and prize support of ACA major events across the nation to include the BoatUS National Championship in May on Lake Hartwell.

“We look forward to another great year working with student anglers in 2023. Their passion for angling is contagious and we love supporting them with our ACA program. We have seen former college anglers like Drew Cook start using our products thru the ACA college program and continue all the way to winning on the Elite Series and becoming part of our pro angler team.  Our program gives student anglers the opportunity to use all our products at affordable prices,” Brandon Ray, Promotions Manager at Big Bite Baits.

Big Bite Baits offers a 50% discount on products to college anglers. Complete details of the collegiate discount and bonus programs can be found on our website at the Discounts and Incentives page.

New in 2022, Big Bite Baits launched its exclusive Scentsation line of soft plastics. Scentsation was developed after numerous requests from the Big Bite pro angler team and consumers for a soft and buoyant soft plastic that was infused with a powerful, fish attracting scent that would be more effective for wary fish with greater scent susceptibility.

The Big Bite production team initially began working with a 30-year PhD chemist for months to develop this proprietary formula with greater fish attraction. In a collaboration, this plastic formula was developed after multiple rounds of testing for fish attraction and manufacturing capabilities.

About the Association of Collegiate Anglers

The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) is a division of CarecoTV that was created to facilitate growth, development, and structure within competitive collegiate bass fishing, with emphasis on competitive events nationwide.  The ACA created the original BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Series 18 seasons ago. That single event has evolved into the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, which is now recognized as the longest-running consecutive collegiate bass fishing series in existence.

The ACA owns the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, Bass Pro Shops School of Year presented by Abu Garcia program, and associated assets.   The ACA lineup of major college fishing events includes a variety of tournaments nationwide that are multi-day tournaments, all of which are televised on several networks, as well as streamed on a variety of connected platforms.   The ACA also provides support to numerous schools operating regional events nationwide which helps to grow the exposure and awareness of college fishing.

Thanks in part to the large diversity of media exposure the ACA provides, the series boasts the largest amount of televised and streaming coverage of any collegiate fishing series. This includes a dedicated television series on numerous television networks and streaming platforms, as well as additional coverage of select events inside other programs.  This combination includes coverage from Discovery Channel, CBS Sports, Pursuit Channel, as well as other regional and national networks.  You can also find coverage online at any time of past events thanks to coverage on OutdoorActionTV.com and PursuitUp.com
