Bethel University Bass Fishing Team is Ready for the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley

It’s almost time for the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley. The lake is in its normal winter drawn down and has been fishing great recently.  This year’s event is once again setting up to be a slug fest with collegiate anglers coming from across the nation to fish. 2017 Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley will continue to impress with over $30,000 in prizes as well as valuable points in the Cabela’s School of Year Race.
According to Bethel University’s Coach Garry Mason, the big fish are biting despite the lake being low which is common this time of year due to the annual winter draw down on Kentucky Lake.  He advises all college anglers to be careful on the lake due to the lower than normal lake levels.

“This event is going to be awesome we’ve got more prizes than ever, the fishing sounds awesome and we’ve got some of the best anglers from all over the nation coming to fish Kentucky Lake. All college anglers should remember to wear their life vests anytime the big motor is on during practice at this event as well as anytime their on the water.   We always want everyone to have fun at our events and anytime their on the water but we also want them to always be safe and wear that kill switch, button that life vest up as well as take their time while on the water,” Wade Middleton, Director of ACA and President of CarecoTV.
Today is the last day to register for the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley event and will close at 5pm. For more information on the event, click below.
