Bajío Sunglasses Bolsters Spring 2023 Collection With New Eco-Conscious Frames

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. –  Bajío Sunglasses, maker of blue-light filtering, sustainably-made, performance sunglasses that are built to save the world’s saltwater flats and estuaries, is proud to announce that it has officially added Stiltsville to its spring 2023 collection. Named after the ruins of several prominent prohibition-era social clubs in Biscayne Bay, Stiltsville is the newest addition to Bajio’s Tight Lines family of frames, which are designed to easily transition from boat to bar.

Sunglasses are the heart of Bajío, which provides customers with lightweight, bio-based nylon frames featuring proprietary LAPIS™ lens technology. Stiltsville is a feature-rich, full-wrap frame with narrow temples that offer stealthy sun protection using Bajío’s built-in Sun Ledge™. Just like every frame in the Tight Lines collection, Stiltsville has an 8-base curve with two-way flex hinges, no-slip rubber temple tips, rubber nose pads, and the option for prescription lenses. Bajío plans to add additional styles to the Tight Lines collection throughout 2023.

“For our 2023 line, we wanted to tie everything back to the flats we love in our home state of Florida,” says Al Perkinson, Founder of Bajío. “Stiltsville, in Biscayne Bay, is famous for its phenomenal bone fishing. The new frame styles have a full wrap for ultimate light-blocking performance and offer the most protection possible from the sun. These styles are great for those who need eye protection after years on the water and those looking to significantly reduce harmful blue and yellow light exposure.”

Stiltsville frames are made from  plant-based Nylon that biodegrades quickly and is gentler on our oceans. They are stronger and lighter than plastic frames, which equates to all-day comfort whether you’re out fishing or at the fiesta. For a fully-customizable eyewear experience, Stiltsville is available in thirteen lens options: seven lens colors made from lightweight, bio-based polycarbonate and six made from glass. Both polycarbonate and glass lenses feature durable anti-scratch properties and oleophobic coatings, which make sunscreen and water easy to remove. All Bajío lenses feature the brand’s proprietary LAPIS™ technology, and each lens is designed for specific light conditions and environments. Bajío lenses offer exceptional clarity and provide a visual experience that is second to none.
