Sponsor support helps to fuel college fishing. From no-entry-fee ACA events, to discount and incentive programs, as well as on-site support…ACA series partners and their support are important to the growth of collegiate fishing.
Each of the 600 plus anglers competing here this weekend will receive a free snack bag. Berkley is the presenting sponsor of the snack bags. Along with the snack bags, Berkley is also providing free baits to anglers on a first come, first serve basis. Anglers will have the opportunity to choose between the 7″ and 9″ models in various colors.

Murray State hosted an event on Kentucky Lake yesterday. The tournament was sanctioned by the ACA to be eligible for points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Pictured above are several images from weigh-in at that tournament. Sam and Jacob from Murray State won with just over 18 pounds.

Berkley is the presenting sponsor of this weekend’s nationally televised, no-entry-fee big bass format event. On day two of tournament competition, anglers will be permitted to use only Berkley baits. This was first introduced several years ago, and throughout the years many big bass have been caught on Berkley baits during day two of tournament action. The Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley is the Association of Collegiate Anglers’ first double points event in the 2023-24 race for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Earlier this week, the ACA released an updated points standings for college fishing’s only all-encompassing National Rankings system. Emmanuel University sits in the top spot, with the University of Alabama in second, and LSU-Shreveport in third. Read the full article and view the updated standings here.
Being that this is a double points event, the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley will be key in the race for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Following the completion of this weekend’s tournament, the ACA will update the points standings later next week.
