One topic that we want to keep covering is Angler Safety. Below are just a few of the the safety rules anglers need to follow for this event:

• Safe boating must be observed at all times.
• Contestants must observe “no wake” areas including posted bridges and other areas as defined by the Tournament Director
• Each contestant MUST wear a fastened, U.S. Coast Guard approved, personal flotation device at all times the combustion engine is in operation, both during official practice and tournament days.
• Alabama law requires that life jackets be worn when within 800 feet of the downstream side of a hydroelectric dam or navigation lock.
