Denali Rods Introduces New Lineup of Spinning and Casting Reels

Since 2008, Denali Rods has produced the highest quality fishing rods, helping anglers catch more fish. Denali has seen rapid growth in recent years and in 2023 is expanding to new levels with the launch of the Novus Series of low-profile baitcasting reels. The Novus Series Reels are custom designed and made to compliment the extensive Denali rod line up. After a year long design process, these new reels were put through an additional year of testing by the Denali pro angling team to ensure they perform at the highest level and maintained top performance.

These reels are designed for maximum casting distance and smooth casting performance of lures of any size. The Novus Series is comprised of three models and multiple gear ratios to meet the needs of any angler. All the Novus casting reels feature a lightweight aluminum frame, compact ergonomically friendly design, and a high strength brass drive gear.

The Novus leads off the series with high value at an affordable price. Novus features 7+1 bearings and is available in right hand retrieve with three gear ratios 6.2:1, 7.3:1 and 8.1:1. Line capacity is 153yds of 12lb test. The reel weighs 7.8 ounces.

The next step up is the Novus Pro with expanded features including: 9+1 bearings and drag strength at 15.4lbs at $199.99. Novus Pro has right hand retrieve and is offered in 7.3:1 and 8.1:1 gear ratios. Line capacity is 153yds of 12lb test and the weight is 7.8 ounces.

Our flagship Novus Elite checks in at just 7.5oz and features 10+1 bearings. The Novus Elite is offered at $249.99 in both 7:3:1 and 8:1:1 gear ratios.

Denali has stepped into the reel arena with the introduction of the Fission series of spinning reels. The new spinning reels are available in two models: the flagship Denali Fission Pro ($99.99) and the Denali Fission ($69.99). Both new spinners promise performance at very reasonable retails. The Fission Pro is available in 2000 and 3000 sizes (both priced at $99.99). The Pro has an all-aluminum body fitted with graphite side plates. Both the 2000 and 3000 are 6.2:1 gear ratio and are convertible for either right- or left-handed retrieve.
