TN River Rumble at Kentucky Lake

CAMDEN/KENTUCKY LAKE, TENNESSEE TO HOST TENNESSEE RIVER RUMBLE COLLEGIATE BASS TOURNAMENT
 
Camden, Tennessee - The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) will visit Kentucky Lake in Camden, Tennessee on May 16 for the Tennessee River Rumble, which is the final of five ACA sanctioned regional events held during 2009. 102 collegiate anglers representing 24 universities throughout the southeastern United States are registered to compete in the tournament. In addition to school pride and bragging rights, these anglers are motivated to compete for various prizes provided by sponsors of the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (CBFC). All of the action will be captured by Careco Mutimedia's camera teams and featured on the television series airing on Versus this fall.Benton County/Camden Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Bill Kee stated "We are delighted to host this wonderful event in Benton County and proud to welcome these talented young anglers to beautiful Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River. I am confident that it will be a great tournament."
 
The winning team will receive free lodging for their fishing club at the CBFC to be held later this month at Lake Lewisville, Texas. 
 
The highest finishing team that is a participant in the Cabela's Collegiate Cup incentive program will receive a $375 Cabela's gift card.Pure Fishing will award $500 worth of tackle to the winners of the Berkley Big Bag award. If the biggest bass of the event is caught using an All Star rod, the team will receive 2 All Star rods for their effort.A trolling motor provided by MotorGuide will be awarded at the banquet following registration on May 15. The winner will be drawn from all the clubs that submitted their registrations early.
 
The angler catching the biggest bass of the event will be eligible to win an all expenses paid trip to Lago Vista Lodge at Mexico's Lake Guerrero to join Jeff Kreit and Wade Middleton for a fishing trip to be documented an featured on Americana Outdoors television show.
 
Sperry Top-Sider and Costa Del Mar will also provide merchandise that will be awarded as prizes.
 
Andrew Luxon of Eastern Kentucky University is very excited about the event. "We've looked forward to having the opportunity to compete in a collegiate tournament on Kentucky Lake for several years. I'm glad I finally get the chance to do so my senior year. This fish are post spawn and they're migrating out toward the main lake where they'll bunch up in great numbers on structure spots - I expect to see lots of quality bass weighed in."
 
Birdsong Resort located on the shores of Kentucky Lake in Camden, Tennessee will serve as tournament headquarters and host the takeoff and weigh-in at 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
 
"Kentucky Lake has long been known as one of the best bass fisheries in the nation and we're expecting to see some fantastic action this week as the collegiate anglers compete in the last regional of the year prior to the championship that will be held at the end of the month." stated Wade Middleton, Tournament Director.
