Pure Fishing Offers Incentives to BoatUS Collegiate Anglers

Pure Fishing, parent company of Berkley, Abu Garcia and All Star rods is proud to partner with the BoatUS National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship in 2009. This will mark the second consecutive year that Berkley has partnered with the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship.

"The programs that we had last year was exciting and a great experience for Pure Fishing" said Sr. Marketing Manager Andrew Marks. "I listened and learned from last years programs and have refined them for the 2009 season".

Abu Garcia Reels, Berkley Line & Bait, and All Star Rods Incentives

Criteria: All anglers participating in the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship tournament series are eligible.

Each angler can purchase up to $1,000 in tackle from Pure Fishing web sites (Berkley, Abu Garcia, Stren and Spiderwire) at a 30% discount. Product may not be resold or purchased for friends, family, etc. If this occurs, angler(s) will be disqualified from all Pure Fishing incentive programs.

Regional Tournament Incentives

All Star Big Bass Award

Criteria: Anglers participating in ACA sanctioned regional events prior to the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. Anglers must have used an All Star rod to catch the big bass. Only one Big Bass award per event.

Awards: Winning team will receive 2 Team All Star rods (MSRP $79.95)

Berkley Big Bag Awards

Criteria: Anglers participating in ACA sanctioned regional events prior to 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. Anglers must display Berkley logo in prominent position on tournament jersey or wear a Berkley hat to be eligible. Award will be made to the team weighing the heaviest bag of the event.

Awards: $500 in Berkley tackle (MSRP) to first place team.

2009 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Incentives

Top 5 teams (10 anglers) on the final day of the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship will receive an Abu Garcia Revo STX reel and an All Star ASR rod

Berkley Big Bass Award

Criteria: Anglers participating in the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Championship. Anglers catch the Big Bass for each day and must display Berkley logo in prominent position on tournament jersey or wear a Berkley hat to be eligible.

Award: $500 Check for each daily winner

Berkley Conservation Institute College Angler of the Year

Criteria: Anglers participating in the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship are eligible to win. Entries will be voted on by a panel of 5 judges who are not known by anyone outside of those 5 individuals. The will be judged on ...

1. An individual project with an industry conservation theme (video, power point presentation, PDF, etc.). Due Date: May 21, 2009. Points are awarded and creativity is encouraged on the presentation format.

2. Final finish at Championship event.

3. How they carry themselves and promote fishing at Championship event.

Awards:

1st Place - $1000 Check

2nd Place - $500 Check

3rd Place - $500 in Berkley tackle (MSRP)
