Bass Community Leader - Costa Del Mar
The Bass Community is an important element of the fishing community in the U.S. They are the largest fishing group, with over 27 million participants. Costa Del Mar has been steadily developing its presence within the Bass community over the past several years. Costa has made significant investments in conservation and marketing in the Bass community and has begun to develop strong relationships with many pros, tournaments, media, retailers and other leaders within the community. Success in Bass is a critical part of Costa’s strategy to grow in the interior of the US, including the SE, West, and NE, and to eventually become a national sunglass brand.
In order to accelerate its growth within Bass, Costa is creating a new position – Bass Community Leader. The role of the Bass Community Leader will be to make Costa the dominant sunglass brand among bass fishermen.
The Bass Community Leader will be Costa’s face to the Bass community. He will further develop and manage key relationships within the community and coordinate all Costa marketing initiatives within the community. He will work closely with the sales leadership in bass geographies to help them expand distribution and increase turns. They will work as a team to win Bass for Costa.
The Community Leader will be asked to develop an annual community marketing plan, set annual goals, and execute the plan. He will be given a budget and will have the resources of Costa staff and agencies to assist in execution of the plan.
