BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Registration to Begin on Jan. 15,

Association of Collegiate Anglers Announces

2009 Collegiate Bass Schedule of Televised Events.

On January 15, 2009 registration will begin for the 2009 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. The event will be held on Lake Lewisville, TX. Activities will start May 25th and end with the crowning of a new Collegiate National Champion on May 29th. Registration for the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship closes May 18th.

In an effort to support the amazing growth of college bass fishing, the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship series will feature televised regional events sanctioned by the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) leading up to the championship event. Each collegiate fishing club may send as many two person teams as they desire to the regional events. As an added bonus, all fishing clubs that participate in an ACA sanctioned regional event will receive guaranteed entry for two teams in the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. All the action from these exciting events will be featured on the television series airing on the Versus network on Saturday mornings from August through October 2009.

  • Dec 19-20, 2008 : Stephen F Austin State Univ. Bucketmouth Bass Tournament – Lake Sam Rayburn, TX
  • March 14, 2009 : Lone Star Spring Breakout – Stillhouse Hollow Lake, TX
  • March 20-21, 2009 : Arkansas Tech Invitational – Lake Dardanelle, AR
  • April 17-18, 2009 : Southern Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Championship – Lake Wilson, AL*
  • May 16 : Tennessee River Rumble – Kentucky Lake, TN

*This event requires participation in SCBFS qualifying events.

 

 

2009 Championship Information:

Lake Lewisville, Texas will host the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. All activities will take place at Sneaky Pete’s May 25-29, 2009.

The full 100+ boat field will compete both days. The winners will be determined by the highest weight for the 2-day total. Scholarships will be awarded to the top finishers.

Online registration for the championship event will begin on January 15, 2009. Collegiate fishing clubs must be officially recognized by their school to be eligible. To register, or for assistance with starting a club at your school, visit www.CollegiateBassChampionship.com .
