Perkinson said he is pleased that so many college students are taking the initiative to start fishing clubs on their own. He also pointed out that many of the clubs have also assumed conservation initiatives that parallel that of Costa Del Mar.

Again, their Web site spells it out loud and clear. "The way we see it, the best equipment in the world won't catch a thing if the waters are empty. Every ocean, river, lake and stream is a resource and a responsibility. If we want future generations to feel the snap of a fish on the line, we have to do our part, and do it now."

In addition to bass fishing, Costa Del Mar also is known for its on-campus appearances through its "U of Blue" program. The unique program randomly finds and aligns with campus fraternities to join in on some good ol' fashioned college fun.
